Pré-indicados ao Oscar 2023 têm duas produções brasileiras

Duas obras com representantes brasileiros foram mencionadas na lista de pré-indicados ao Oscar 2023, divulgada nesta quarta (21) pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas. A lista oficial dos indicados ao Oscar será divulgada no dia 24 de janeiro.

As obras indicadas foram ‘O Território’ para Melhor Documentário de Longa-Metragem, e ‘Sideral’ para Melhor Curta-Metragem em live action. ‘Marte Um‘, um dos filmes nacionais mais comentados no Brasil neste ano, ficou de fora da pré-lista do Oscar.

‘O Território’ é um documentário feito por Alex Pritz, coproduzido internacionalmente em 2022, que segue um jovem líder indígena do povo Uru-eu-wau-wau lutando contra agricultores, colonizadores e colonos que invadem uma área protegida da Floresta Amazônica.

‘Sideral’ é um curta-metragem fictício de 15 minutos, dirigido por Carlos Segundo, que conta o primeiro lançamento de um foguete brasileiro que está prestes a acontecer, em Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Um casal, um mecânico e uma faxineira, mora com os dois filhos perto do centro espacial.

Na lista do Oscar 2023 há 10 categorias: Melhor Documentário de Longa-metragem, Melhor Documentário em Curta-metragem, Melhor Filme Estrangeiro, Melhor Maquiagem e Penteados, Melhor Trilha Sonora Original, Melhor Canção Original, Melhor Curta-metragem de Animação, Melhor Curta-metragem em Live Action, Melhor Mixagem de Som e Melhores Efeitos Visuais.
